Frankie & Benny"s New York Italian Restaurant & Bar
Initial impressions are good, upon entering this themed 1940\'s Diner. However, things rapidly decended downhill at an ever increasing rate of knots! After enjoying a pre-meal drink at the bar,we (myself, significant other and two boys,12 and 16 yrs)where seated in a comfy booth within sight and sound of the open kitchen. Our waitress\' opening gambit was to deliver a flurry of \"off\" the menu items, including sirloin steak,bar-b-q chicken wings, the prawns etc.etc....all this at aproximately 7:30 pm on a saturday night! Most of what we had wanted was \"off\' so a re-think was required. These \"off\" items would be the most popular items in a Grill at any time, especially on a saturday evening?!Why not buy enough!?They are popular?!!The starters of alleged Garlic and cheese pizza was virtually raw, having spent litterally seconds in the pizza oven. The dough was soft and still pliant, the cheese had barely began to melt.....disgusting!A very sour-faced waitress returned them to the kitchen for another 10 second blast in the oven. The second attempt at this most basic of starters was still under done but was edible,if thats the standard that F&B\'s have set themselves it didn\'t auger well for the mains!3 steaks arrived with accompanying chips etc. all passable if a little chewy for well done.My full rack of bar-b-q ribs was under cooked, being pink in the centre, but the most astonishing thing was the tiny dribble of bar-b-q sauce that was drizzled down the middle of the ribs!Anyone who has had the pleasure of dinning out in the good old USofA, will be familliar with being supplied with enough bar-b-q sauce to float the USS Enterprise in, when ordering ribs. When I asked our happy Waitress for \"more\" the scene rapidly began to resemble the workhouse scene from Oliver....\"More?.....\".....Yes please(replied I)....\"Sorry.....we don\'t do....more!\"And with that she was of to disapoint another paying customer.A request for some Ketchup was met by the waitress dissapearing for 10mins,only to re-appear, with her jacket on, leaving the front door where she enjoyed a cigarette break!By this point we had had enough, and any thought of dessert was overcome with a desire to just get home for some antacid\'s.Upon paying the excessive bill of 77.80 I was asked by the young lady who valiantly stood in for cigarette girl,\"Did you enjoy your meal?\",as is, what I believe is standard practise at F&B\'s,my reply of \"No,it was revolting!\" was completely ignored.Avoid this one like the plague!

However, the waiter took away my plate while I was still eating bread after the starter and then cleared our whole table before we had had our main before presenting us with the desert menu
